Conchitas is a new organization offering nature-based play and outdoor learning for children ages 0-6 and their families. We create and lead low-cost programming to support child-led nature-based opportunities for learning and play for all children and families.
It is our goal to provide accessible and inclusive outdoor programming to all children and families, and expand nature access in our Cape Cod communities. We believe everyone has the right to feel at home in nature. We want to provide opportunities for discovery and exploration and learning to any learner interested in our programs. We envision a world where nature access is available to everyone, and the exploration of clean and healthy natural spaces are woven into the childhood of their future stewards and protectors. We are launching several programs and looking to expand our team of educators to be able to serve more families and offer more opportunities for nature play across the Cape.
Half Day nature-based daycare:
Program hours are Monday-Friday year round from 9am-12pm in Mashpee.
Weekly rate of pay is $350 (or slightly reduced if you are bringing a child with you).
Programming will take place predominantly outdoors in all seasons, with indoor space available during unsafe weather.
Ages of children will be 6 months - 5 years old.
Nature play groups and outdoor activity meetups:
Days, hours and locations will be based on availability, your location and program enrollment. Generally, programs will be offered between 9AM-11AM, and 3PM-5PM, Monday through Saturday across different areas on Cape Cod, in 4-8 week sessions.
Rate of pay will be $50/hour and all materials and curriculum will be provided.
Programming will take place predominantly outdoors in all seasons, with covered outdoor space available during unsafe weather.
Ages of children will be 0 - 6 years old.
All programs will be for families - parent/child.
All educators must be 18 years old, First Aid/CPR certified and be able to pass a background and CORI check, and be able to offer nature-based programming that aligns with our community agreements. Educators in our half day programs must also be able to obtain EEC FCC Assistant certification.
To ensure representation across as many diversity dimensions as possible and in acknowledging the value of all lived experiences, we do not carry any minimum entry requirements for hire. Rather, we require that all educators have an educational and/or lived experience background that demonstrates a commitment to early childhood education and creating safe, nurturing spaces for young learners in outdoor spaces.
