Community Support for Equitable Access to Nature Play

We rely on the support of our community to be able to offer low-no cost programming for all children and families.

If you are in a position to do so, here are some ways that you can support our programs and learners:

  • Donate outdoor gear that your family is no longer using, or supplies to help supplement our outdoor classroom (our current wishlist is below)

  • Make a charitable donation of any amount

  • Make a purchase from our online store

  • Participate in our programs at the Supporting Community level

Conchitas Supply Wishlist

It doesn’t take a lot of stuff to explore outdoors and connect to nature. Our programs focus on resisting the idea that spending time outside requires you to have lots of (often very expensive) clothes, equipment or supplies.

We do, however, love to repurpose used supplies to expand the ways kids can explore and to find new homes for the gear it does take to be outdoors safely and comfortably each season.

If you have any of the following items that are no longer in use with your own family, or are in a position to make a donation to support our programs, we would be grateful to put every bit to good use!

  • We can always use, or find a good home for, outdoor gear that your family is no longer using.

    • Winter coats

    • Winter hats and gloves/mittens

    • Winter boots

    • Rain coats

    • Rain suits

    • Rain/mud boots

    • Water shoes

    • Garden gloves

    • Sun hats

    • Rash guards

    • Backpacks

    • Water bottles

    • Sunglasses

    • Walking sticks

    • Snowshoes

    • Microspikes

    • Fishing nets

    • Shovels

    • Buckets

    • Harvest baskets

    • Magnifying glasses

    • Clipboards

    • Binoculars

    • Small blank (field) notebooks

    • Laminated field guides

    • Blank paper, any size and color

    • Storage containers with lids, all sizes

    • Long sticks for fort building (4’ or longer)

    • Fabric/ribbon scraps (lengths of 3’ or longer)

    • Non-toxic wood sealant (like this one)

    • Books about nature or science, in English or Spanish

    • Non-toxic craft/finger paint (like these)

    • Compostable trash bags - 2.6 gallons

    • Diapers, all sizes, and wipes

    • Non-toxic/non-bleach disinfectant spray (we use this one)

    • Funds to support our operating expenses, and increasing staff capacity

    • Greenhouse or other structure for an outdoor classroom building

    • Fencing supplies to enclose our learning garden
