Please joins us for a FREE fall-themed family event at Heritage/Pocknett Park in Mashpee with Conchitas Board member and Cape & Islands Nanny Network founder, Kalyani Clarke! We will join thousands of people across the continent to #OptOutside, and spend some time in the fresh air avoiding all the shopping and crowds!
Heritage Park has so much to offer to explore, move and enjoy the outdoors! We will meet in the parking lot behind the playground and splash pad just off Main Street, and stroll our way down a flat, wide, paved 0.25 mile trail to a hidden playground! Activities will be offered to young ones to make nature-themed art, explore our nature neighbors as they appear in the fall, and share some more stories about the magic of the season.
Event will be 90 minutes in length. All material provided. Please feel free to drop in/out as you wish!
WHO: Children ages 0-6 and at least one caregiver. Siblings are welcome!
COST: FREE
(Donations welcome, and 100% goes to support more equitable nature play in our community)
Some of our programs require that at least one caregiver participates alongside their child(ren). Our nature playgroups and outdoor activity meetups are family events. Please be prepared to send at least one adult to participate alongside your young one(s), and to ensure your child(ren) are safe and supervised. These are not drop offs.
Please dress your little one for the weather, wear closed toed shoes and bring a water bottle or sippy cup that they like.
We recommend having on hand: an extra layer of clothes, sunscreen, and diapers (for children in diapers).
We will let you know in advance if we are having a wet play day! This would also come with a recommendation to bring a rain coat and boots if you have them.
